Mrs. Grodrian was our son’s first French Horn teacher, and we could not have asked for a better teacher for him. She was always positive and encouraging, but also made sure that Kevin built a strong foundation and good practice habits. He quickly learned to love the instrument and progressed wonderfully. We know that Kevin and Mrs. Grodrian will always have a special relationship, and we appreciate her talent and character tremendously.

Teaching is a great passion of mine, and I feel blessed that I can share my love and enthusiasm for the horn with students of all ages and levels. When working with my horn students, I always seek to understand their individual needs so that I can help them to achieve their own unique musical goals. Lessons are structured to foster the development of the three important roles of a hornist: The Musician, the Technician, and the Performer. This means that each student will not only work on musical interpretation and technical facility on the instrument, but will also receive performance coaching as I learned it from my mentor, Jeff Nelsen

I have been teaching privately since 2004, and every year I seem to enjoy it even more! My students have put forth amazing efforts to achieve goals like earning Superior/Gold ratings at Solo and Ensemble competitions, performing at All-State Band festivals, receiving college/university scholarships for music, and acceptance into graduate-level music programs.
